The school' s name is 4th junior high school of Kavala(Zoumpoulakeio). It offers secondary compulsory education and prepares students for higher education by providing them with academic learning. In the school 40 teachers are currently working for approximately 230 students aged 12 to 15 years old. The school is situated near the center of the town, close to the old ottoman aqueduct, on the top of a small hill, facing the sea and the Old Town of Kavala with the medieval castle. The area in which the school is located has a high number of immigrants from Albania, Russia, Ukraine and other places, so it is a colorful region of town. The school is technologically well equipped. They have also been participating in projects concerning environmental issues, refugees' problems, supporting impoverished people, practices against bullying, violence etc
