Final assessment
FINAL ASSESMENT OF THE ERASMUS+ K2 PROJECT THERE IS NO PLAN(ET) B – CAN RENEWABLE ENERGIES FIGHT CLIMATE CHANGE?
The There is no plan(et) B was an ambitious project with the limited budget and time frame. The project was entirely relevant to the needs of the students and teachers as well as the local government in all countries. However, it is difficult to reach a national level.
Its primary objective of increasing awareness of climate changes and the importance of sustainability and renewable energies has largely been achieved. It facilitated interaction between the education system, local government, and public sector with a view of stimulating interest and providing training for students and teachers trough the methodologies used and developed during the project. The project generated the series of questionnaires, vlogs, and presentations of the research results all of which can and will be used in the future school curriculums.
The project has managed with a small budget to roll out the knowledge to many students and teachers (more than 300 students and teachers from 4 countries were involved in the project activities and/or mobilities) generate interests and contribute to strengthening capacities at institutional and individual levels namely strengthening language, ICT, intercultural competencies, and media literacy.
Despite an initially slow start, due to COVID restrictions the obtained results and completed mobilities were clearly good value for money as funding was limited and resources were used efficiently thanks to a very lean project management structure and the active collaboration with the Erasmus+ National Agencies.
