Agrupamento de escolas da Lixa, Felgueiras

Our institution is a school cluster with approximately 1920 students, 190 teachers and 60 technical and operational assistants. It is a state school cluster and includes students from primary to secundary school level, from ages 6 to 18. This school is situated in a demographically young region, in the north of Portugal, but its population still has low levels of education. We have students from different socioeconomic backgrounds, but a great number comes from families with limited economic resources. The educational project of our school points out a set of values and challenges to be achieved, first to create equal opportunities for school success as a goal for all, to favour the personal and social development of students to make them tolerant and responsible citizens a European conscience and to stimulate an awareness of appreciation and preservation for natural and cultural heritage.
